Bargain Paralejurus Trilobite Fossils - 2 to 3"

These are Lower Devonian aged Paralejurus trilobite fossils collected in Morocco. They have been prepared using airscribes to remove the hard limestone surrounding them and they look like they are ready to crawl off the rock. They measure between 2" and 3" long if outstretched, though some may be slightly smaller.

These are real trilobite fossils but the preparation is rough compared to the ones we sell individually, hence the bargain price. Many have some shell weathering or some degree of shell restoration.

About Trilobites

Trilobites are an extinct class of marine arthropods that thrived for nearly 270 million years, from the early Cambrian to the end of the Permian period (around 521 to 252 million years ago). They are one of the most successful and diverse groups in the history of life, with over 25,000 described species spanning a wide range of sizes, shapes, and ecological niches. Known for their distinctive, segmented exoskeletons, trilobites provide invaluable insights into the evolutionary history of arthropods and the dynamics of ancient marine ecosystems.
