Extra Large "Selenite" (Satin Spar) Tower Lamp - 15" Tall (Reduced Price)

This is a beautiful extra large lamp carved from natural Selenite. These lamps are 15-16" tall and come with light figure, cord/dimmer and bulb. Some of the lamps have some natural orange tinting to the selenite. Each piece is unique and the photos are representative of the lamp that you will receive.

Selenite is a variety of gypsum, a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO4 · H2O). When chemically pure, gypsum is transparent and colorless, but impurities give the gypsum a diverse range of colors and formations. Desert rose selenite and satin spar are just a few of the varieties of gypsum known to have formed though hydrothermal processes.

Note: Satin spar from Morocco is often marketed as selenite, and while it is a variety of gypsum, the name selenite is not accurate in this instance. For the sake of the market, we use both selenite and satin spar to describe these mineral specimens.
