2.5" Colorful Crotalocephalina Trilobite - Ventral Presentation
This is a 2.5" long trilobite (Crotalocephalina gibbus) that has been prepared ventral side up, exposing the hypostome (mouthplate) and interior of the animal's exoskeleton. It was quarried from the Lhandar Formation near Atchana, Morocco.
Comes with an acrylic display stand. It has about 1% restoration in total along repaired cracks.

About Trilobites
Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods. They first appeared in the fossil record in the Early Cambrian (521 million years ago) and went extinct during the Permian mass extinction (250 million years ago).
