2.8" Fossil Hackberry (Celtis) Leaf - Utah
This is a detailed, 2.8" long fossil hackberry (Celtis mccoshii) leaf from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah. A faint Populus wilmattae leaf can be seen along one edge as well. It comes with an acrylic display stand.
While the Green River Formation is best known for its fish fossils from Wyoming, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.
