3.4" Fossil Leaf and Ant Plate - Green River Formation, Utah
This is a 3.4" wide slab of shale featuring a partial fossil leaf preserved alongside a small ant (family Formicidae), collected from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse selection of flora and insect fossils.
