.31" Detailed Fossil Weevil (Snout Beetle) - Green River Formation

This is a detailed, .31" long fossil weevil (family Curculionidae) with a raised elytron, collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
