.38" Detailed Fossil Beech Fruit - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a well preserved .38" wide Fagopsis sp. (beech relative) immature fruit from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.
