4.15" Fossil Poplar Leaf and Craneflies - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a well preserved 4.15" long fossil poplar tree (Populus tidwellii) leaf preserved alongside craneflies (family Tipulidae), collected from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah.

While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic stand. There is a repaired crack through the rock/fossil.
