.7" Fossil Wasp (Hymenoptera) with Preserved Ovipositor - Utah

This is a beautifully detailed, .7" long wasp (order Hymenoptera) with a preserved ovipositor and wings, collected from the Green River Formation of Utah. While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible fossil plant and insect fauna.
