Detailed Fossil Robber Fly and Willow Leaf - Green River Formation

This is a fossil fly commonly know as a robber fly (family Asilidae) and a willow leaf (Salix cockerelli) from the Green River Formation is Utah. The fly is well detailed with a length of .4". While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.
