Flying Crotalocephalina Trilobite - 3 Inches

The preparation on this specimen of Crotalocephalina (Crotalocephalus) gibbus is awesome. The entire trilobite has been prepared so that it rests on a pedastal of it's natural matrix and appears to be "flying" The underside of the head is exposed displaying the hypostome (mouthplate) and the tail spines are prepared out of matrix.

The surface was scratched up during preparation and has been coated to hide the scratches but non of the trilobite itself was reconstructed.
