10.7" Plate With Crinoid Holdfast, Bryozoans, Trilobites - Indiana

This is a 10.75" wide smorgasbord of marine fossils from the Silurian-aged Waldron Shale Formation of Shelby County, Indiana. On this plate you can observe a bryozoan-encrusted crinoid (Eucalyptocrinus sp.) holdfast surrounded by a multitude of gastropod shells (Platystoma niagarensis), crinoid stems, brachiopods, and cephalon molts from the trilobite Dalmanites. Additionally, some of the fossils, especially the brachiopods, have pyrite flecks on them. You will discover more cool fossils on this specimen with each new look. Truly a phenomenal display piece.

This plate comes with an acrylic stand and has been backed with a no-slip, foam mat.
