Fossil Willow Leaf and Laurel Leaf - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a 1.65" long fossil willow (Salix cockerelli) leaf preserved alongside a leaf of Persea coriacea, a member of the laurel family, collected from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
