Rare Red Phacops Trilobite - Hmar Lakhdad, Morocco

This is a rare type of Barrandeops trilobite from Hmar Lakhdad, Morocco. The shell preservation is a deep red coloration, and the eyes have a green tint to them. This specimen is enrolled in a defensive posture, .85" wide and is nicely prepared. Unlike many sites in Morocco where phacopid trilobites are very common they are very tough to find at this site.
