This is a gorgeous, dark amethyst crystal geode on a custom metal stand. The specimen itself is 19.6" tall by 15.5" wide, and including the stand weighs over 57 lbs. Much of the "rind" and the stalactitic formations have been polished, revealing the colorful underlying mineral layers. A partially polished calcite crystal can be found near the top of this specimen.
