8.95" Polished Wyloo Agate Section - Australia
This is a gorgeous section of Wyloo agate from Western Australia. It has been cut flat on one side and polished to a mirror like finish, revealing some very interesting geometric patterns. The remainder of this specimen has been left in its original state.
Wyloo agate, also known as Ashburton agate, was formed about 900 million years ago when silica-rich solutions entered the 2 billion year old dolomite host rocks after a major tectonic event. This resulted in agate formations and pockets of quartz crystals.
Comes with an acrylic display stand.
