Fluorescent Zircon Crystal in Biotite Schist - Norway
This beautiful specimen features a deep red-brown zircon crystal that's still partially embedded in the biotite (mica schist) matrix it formed within. It was collected from Finnmark, Norway and the crystal measures .33" wide. Under short-wave UV the zircon fluoresces a stunning yellow color!
