About Lepidolite

Lepidolite is a lilac-gray to rose-purple variety of mica known for its soft, pearly luster and naturally glittery appearance. Rich in lithium—one of the key elements used in modern technology—it has historically been an important ore mineral, particularly in pegmatite deposits. Its structure consists of thin, flexible layers that create the signature shimmering effect when polished or cut.

Fine-grained masses of lepidolite are frequently crafted into ornamental objects such as eggs, palm stones, spheres, and towers. When polished, its sparkling mica flakes and swirling color patterns give each piece a unique, eye-catching aesthetic.

The stone is polished into an oval shape and rounded on all sides. Polished stones of this size and shape are generally referred to as pocket stones since they will easily fit into a pocket.
