1.35" Fossil Crane Fly (Pronophlebia) - Green River Formation

This is a large, fossil crane fly (Pronophlebia redivivia) from the Green River Formation is Utah. It's remarkably well detailed and with a wingspan of 1.35", it's probably the largest I've seen. It comes with an acrylic display stand.

While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
