1.4" Fossil Coffeetree Leaf (Gymnocladus) - Utah
This is a fossil coffeetree leaf of the species Gymnocladus hesperia. It has nice brown preservation which contrasts nicely against the light colored matrix. It comes the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. This is the same formation that is famous for producing well preserved fish fossils, but a different member and location.
The specimen includes an acrylic display stand.
