2.3" Detailed Austerops Trilobite - Mostly Removed From Rock
This is a detailed, 2.3" long Austerops trilobite from Ofaten, Morocco. Excellent shell detail, preparation and visible eye facets. It has mostly been removed from the surrounding limestone, though there is rock underneath it to support the shell. It has about 3% shell restoration in total along repaired cracks.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.

Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods. They first appeared in the fossil record in the Early Cambrian (521 million years ago) and went extinct during the Permian mass extinction (250 million years ago).
