2.5" Fossil Persea (Laurel) Leaf - Green River Formation

This is a 2.5" fossil leave Persea coriacea (a member of the laurel family). It is Eocene in age and come from the Green River Formation. The preservation is beautiful and fine details are faintly visible.

It comes the Green River Formation and the area in Utah County, Utah. This is the same formation that is famous for producing well preserved fish fossils, but a different member and location.
