3.3" Flying Paralejurus Trilobite With Zlichovaspis & Two Reedops
This is a stunning trilobite association from the Lhandar Formation near Atchana, Morocco. It features three different genus of Lower Devonian trilobites in natural association. Central to the piece is a 3.23 long Paralejurus that has been prepared to remove almost all of the surrounding limestone. There is also a good-sized, 4.7" long Zlichovaspis rugosa and two enrolled Reedops.
The preparation is fantastic with total restoration being less than 1%. The eyes on the Zlichovaspis and Paralejurus are preserved in orange calcite!

Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods. They first appeared in the fossil record in the Early Cambrian (521 million years ago) and went extinct during the Permian mass extinction (250 million years ago).
