4" Crane Fly, Grasshopper, and Beetle Association - Utah

This is a highly detailed mortality plate that contains several fossil crane flies (family Tipulidae), a partial grasshopper (order Orthoptera), and a beetle (order Coleoptera), collected from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
