4" Fossil Sycamore (Macginitiea) Leaf - Green River Formation, Utah

This is a 4" wide fossil sycamore (Macginitiea wyomingensis) leaf from the Green River Formation of Utah. It shows detailed primary venation and the dark color of the leaf contrasts nicely against the cream-colored shale. It's preserved alongside a 3" long willow (Salix cockerelli) leaf. While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
