7.75" Carboniferous Fossil Fern Frond - France

This is a fossil fern frond from the Late Carboniferous-aged Montceau-les-Mines Lagerstatte of France. This formation is Stephanian Stage in age, or approximately 300 million years old. The fern measures 7.75" long and is nicely centered on a rectangular-cut, 8.9 x 5.1" thick slab of rock.
