This is a fossil ballon vine (Cardiospermum coloradensis leaf from the Green River Formation of Utah. It measures .8" long and is located alongside a beautifully detailed fly (order Diptera) fossil. The plate itself measures 4.3 x 2.65".

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant and insect fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
