Cute Little Crotalocephalus Africanus Trilobite

This is a nice example of a uncommon trilobite quarried near Jbel Iazzi, Morocco, Crotalocephalus africanus. Not to be confused with the very common Crotalocephalina gibbus.

This specimen is very detailed and nicely prepared at 1.2" in length. It's slightly arched and the brown shell coloration with some orangish highlights on the pleural spines is beautiful. There is some shell restoration on the right free cheek near the top of the genal spine and on the tip of the left genal spine (2-3% total)
