4.4" Pennsylvanian Fossil Plant Plate - Kentucky

This is a fossil plant plate, from the Breathitt Formation, Leslie County, Kentucky. It contains a 2.3" section of stalk from a horsetail (Calamites), a 1.1" fern leaf (Macroneuropteris) and a .4" fern (Neuropteris) branch. All are from the Late Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian aged forests that formed the coal shales of Eastern Kentucky and Ohio.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
