Triple Erbenochile Trilobite Association - Foum Zguid, Morocco

This is an extraordinarily rare, natural association of three Erbenochile trilobites from the Devonian Timrhanrhart Formation of Morocco. Renowned for their elaborate spines and distinctive tower-like eyes, Erbenochile are highly prized by collectors. Finding multiple specimens preserved together is exceptionally uncommon, making this natural triple association a remarkable collector's piece.

All three trilobites are complete and beautifully preserved, with the two larger specimens each measuring approximately 2.2" long. The exceptional three-dimensional preparation reveals their intricate spines and delicate exoskeletal details, creating a dramatic display. Restoration is remarkably minimal at less than 1%, limited to approximately half of the longer axial spines on the two larger specimens.

An outstanding, museum-quality trilobite association combining extreme rarity, superb preparation, and exceptional visual appeal.

About Trilobites

Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods. They first appeared in the fossil record in the Early Cambrian (521 million years ago) and went extinct during the Permian mass extinction (250 million years ago). They were one of the most successful of the early animals on our planet: over 25,000 species have been described, filling nearly every evolutionary niche. Due in large part to their hard exoskeletons (shells), they left an excellent fossil record.
