Two Phacopid (Adrisiops) Trilobites - Jbel Oudriss, Morocco
This is a pair of very detailed phacopid (Adrisiops weugi) trilobites from Jbel Oudriss, Morocco. Adrisiops had been informally referred to as 'smiley Phacops' until it was described as the type species of a new genus in 2017. It is one of the less frequently seen genera of phacopids from Morocco.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
Both specimens are partially enrolled and well prepared. The larger one would be about 2.2" if outstretched and the smaller about 2.1". There is a small spot of restoration to a segment of the smallest trilobite, and some restoration to the cephalon of the largest trilobite. The pygidium of the smallest trilobite is buried within the rock.
