3.3" Fossil Leaf, Beetle, Crane Fly, and Feather Plate - Utah

This is an amazing, 3.3" wide piece of shale that contains a fossil leaf (Mimosites coloradensis), beetle (order Coleoptera), crane flies (family Tipulidae), and an unidentified feather. The specimen was collected from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
