This is a 4.5" fossil plate of a crinoid holdfast (Eucalyptocrinus crassus), and a snail (Platystoma niagarensis), from the Waldron Shale Formation, Waldron, Indiana. It is Silurian in age (430 million years). The Platystoma has been composited onto the plate.
