2.8" Amazingly Prepared Zlichovaspis Trilobite Fossil - Morocco
This is a stunning, 2.8" long specimen of the highly collectible dalmanitid trilobite, Zlichovaspis rugosa, collected from the Lower Devonian (Pragian Stage) Lhandar Formation near Atchana, Morocco. Beautifully preserved with a rich, dark chocolate-brown shell, this impressive specimen has been meticulously prepared in a dramatic, free-standing pose that showcases its intricate anatomy in remarkable three-dimensional detail. Exceptional eye facet preservation in both eyes adds to its appeal, while less than 1% shell restoration makes this an especially desirable example of this classic Devonian trilobite. A superb collector-quality specimen with outstanding visual impact.

About Trilobites
Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods. They first appeared in the fossil record in the Early Cambrian (521 million years ago) and went extinct during the Permian mass extinction (250 million years ago). They were one of the most successful of the early animals on our planet: over 25,000 species have been described, filling nearly every evolutionary niche. Due in large part to their hard exoskeletons (shells), they left an excellent fossil record.
